2024 Wildlife Photographer of the Year "Highly Commended"
The prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year contest organized by the Natural History Museum of London has awarded my image “Full Circle” a Highly Commended designation in the Natural Artistry category for 2024. The contest received almost 60,000 entries from almost 120 countries. This is the first image in the contest’s 60 year history taken with a smartphone to be awarded. The image will be included in the WPY60 exhibit, opening at the museum in London in October 2024, and traveling throughout the world in 2025 as a part of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition. Gallery Hours
A Thousand Windows is located at 800 Main St, Susanville CA, 96130. The building houses my gallery as well as my wife’s law practice. With the convenience of owning the other business in the same building, we are able to offer “viewing hours” for the gallery during times when I’m not able to be there personally. This operation isn’t big enough for its own employees (yet). Please use the “Contact” tab at the top of the page to shoot me a message if you’d like to set up a time to meet me, as I’m happy to open up “by appointment.”

The Historic Oakes and Philbrook Building
A Thousand Windows is located at 800 Main St in Susanville, CA. This building, part of “Historic Uptown Susanville,” has a rich history. Built as a furniture store, it has been occupied by banks, newspapers, the post office, and many other businesses throughout the years. We are honored to be able to continue to preserve and utilize this historic fixture in Uptown Susanville. Click the photo for a look at this historic building through the years.
