Astute observers will recognize these two cubs as the stars of a couple other photos. It was such a treat to get to spend some time observing them from a relatively close distance while their mom worked the edge of the river looking for an easy meal of salmon. I went to the Brooks River in search of big intimidating brown bear photos, but the photos of cubs that I wasn’t expecting to get have proven to be even more popular.
