I left Alaska on this trip with over 8500 photos, and I spent a bit of time on my first flight home going through some of them. This was the first one I did a rough edit on, and I remember after a few day of social media silence, I uploaded it to my Facebook page during a layover in Salt Lake City, with the caption “Alaska photos, comin’ at ya like…” At that point everyone who didn’t know exactly what I had been up to got a bit of a shocking taste of what the previous few days had been like for me. This will always be a favorite photo for me.
