One of the most popular night sky photography locations in Northern California, this is Mt. Lassen over Manzanita Lake in Lassen National Park. What’s fun about this one is the two bright lights just coming up over the slope of Mt. Lassen… that’s Jupiter (the brighter one) and Saturn, casing streaks of light on the water (it was a breezy night, and the water is silky because of the moment during the long exposure. I didn’t plan the planet rise part of the photo, it happened in the middle of my late-night photo session, and I had to look up which planets they were later.
