A bobcat on the prowl. Other than the intimate look at a bobcat at night, an interesting thing about this shot is that the bobcat is walking in a mountain lion’s footsteps. There was a deer kill in this location, and I set the camera up to get the mountain lion, which had left this obvious path that it was taking through the snow to and from the site. My assumption was that I’d get the lion creeping down this path, but this bobcat stole the show (and a good amount of the kill).
