This might be Lassen County’s most impressive grove of aspen trees. It sits alongside Crater Lake (not THAT crater lake, the little one in Lassen National Forest). On this fall day I timed things just about perfectly, and had peak fall color AND the whole place to myself. I really like the lone pine tree in this shot amongst all of the yellow.
