Occasionally some “magic” happens at a camera trap. This is of course the goal, but the magic moments happen so rarely that it’s always a special treat when a shot that checks all of your boxes happens. I set up this camera trap with the hopes of a fox coming down this log in this direction, posing for a 3/4 front portrait… and this shot delivered in even more ways than that. Looking up at one of the flashes curiously, this fox really showed off some personality for the camera.
