Every year at the end of October or beginning of November, and again in February, the rising sun lines up exactly with Main Street in Susanville, CA. This phenomenon was discovered by my friend Jeremy, and since he told me about it, I try not to miss it! It makes for a fun photo opportunity, and a less than fun driving experience if you happen to be coming around the corner at the top of Main Street at 7:31am.
