The Edge of Town

These two buildings were next to what was once a pretty busy railroad line. That was a post office on the left, and a hotel on the right. The depot building is behind you in this view looking south towards Reno. From this spot on the east edge of the Honey Lake Valley, you could grab a train going east across Nevada to Salt Lake City, or north to Klamath Falls. This spot is a Lassen County treasure. It’s not hard to picture what life was once like here.
