Thompson Peak is the most recognizable peak in Lassen County. It rises above Janesville (near Susanville) and is arguably the northernmost rocky outcropping of the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada. This photo was taken with a zoom lens from Susanville on a Sunday morning. I was standing next to a dumpster outside Community Church before going in to start the coffee.
