Seeing a pack of African wild dogs wasn’t even on my wish list when I travelled to Kruger National Park in South Africa, because I knew how unlikely that would be. These endangered canines are amazing, fascinating animals, known for their highly social behavior, and for being skilled pack hunters. I would have been satisfied just seeing a pack in the far distance. Getting a couple portraits of these animals was more than I could have asked for.
